We are planning our first ever day to make purses for:
SEW Powerful
Missions help people that need help.
What we need to do is ask what can we do for you and what do you want? Sew powerful, a Christian mission, asked that in Zambia ten years ago. The women wanted to learn to sew. There was a need for reusable feminine hygiene products so girls could attend school all month. They were provided with sewing machines and learned how to sew. That is now a job and income for the women in Zambia, sewing reusable hygiene products and school uniforms.
The schoolgirls need purses to store their feminine hygiene products. Now girls can go every day and finish grade 12 in school. All over the world women sew purses that go to girls in Zambia.
We need your help to make our purses for the Zambian girls:
• Ironing.
• Sewing. All fabric will be pre-cut. Bring your sewing machine/sewing supplies/tools.
• Miscellaneous areas.
Bring lunch, stay as long as you can. Cookies are provided.
Look up their web site: sewpowerful.org and see all they do.
