Welcome!
To all who are spiritually weary and seek rest;
to all who mourn and long for comfort;
to all who struggle and desire victory;
to all who sin and need a Savior;
to all who are strangers and want fellowship;
to all who hunger and thirst after righteousness;
and to whoever will come—
this church opens wide her doors and offers her
welcome in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Oak Island EPC is a Bible-centered, Christ-focused, confessional
Presbyterian church serving Oak Island, Southport, and St. James. We are
convinced the ordinary means of grace—the Word, prayer, sacraments, and
fellowship—are the primary means God uses to convert and grow His people
into conformity with His Son. Toward that end, we are committed to:
- Expositional preaching of the Scriptures, the Word of God
- Reverent and joyful worship of our glorious Triune God
- Fellowship with God in prayer as we intercede for His kingdom to come
- Redemptive community within the body of Christ
- Cultivating a heart of compassion for the lost in our community and around the world
Our congregation belongs to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC) and holds to the Westminster Confession of Faith and Catechisms as our statement of faith and practice. In essence this means that we take the Bible seriously as God’s inspired and infallible word. We stand in line with the historic understanding of the Christian Faith traced back through the Protestant Reformation to Augustine and the Early Church. Our greatest goal in life is to live for God’s glory and life’s greatest joy is found in fellowship with him.
As
we minister to those whom God brings to us, we would love to be of help
to you. For that matter, we would love for you to be of help to us as a
church, as we serve God with a Christ-centered focus. Whether it is Oak Island EPC, or someplace else, pray that God would show you
where to commit yourself to His people in His service.

We look forward to meeting you!
Warmly in Christ,
